Some of our customers frequently asked questions about treatments with the AW3 Laser Machine

How safe is it?
The AW3 Laser Machine is built with the latest in medical industry technology. The Diamond & Cooling elements assure you protection from the risks of deep tissue burns and scaring.

Since it was developed the AW3 Laser Machine has provided safe and effective permanent hair reduction for thousands of patients worldwide. We’re able to provide a level of safety unlike any other laser hair reduction procedure.

Is it totally pain free? 
The majority of people undergoing permanent hair reduction treatments with the AW3 Laser machine find it pain free. There is varying degrees of discomfort during a permanent tattoo removal procedure.
When compared to other hair removal methods and lasers, the AW3 Laser is one of the most pain free treatments available.

Will my hair grow back?
No manufacturer has been given permission to claim that they can cause "permanent hair removal", as this has not yet been proven. However, they are allowed to claim "permanent hair reduction", as that means that whilst hair may not be removed entirely and forever, it will certainly be removed to a significant degree. It’s also not unusual for patients to have a touch-up two years after initial treatment due to hormonal changes.

Will I need a full course?
Before any treatment commences, you will have a consultation. The machine can determine the number of treatments you will require. Ordinarily it will be between four to six treatment sessions. 

Why does it take so long?
Hair growth occurs in 4 stages: Early Anagen (early hair growth), Anagen (active hair growth) Catagen (regression) Telogen (resting, not growing) Laser hair removal only affects the Anagen stage, (actively growing hair). Therefore, approximately twenty-five-percent of hair is removed with each treatment.

You need to allow hair to go through these stages between the treatments, so it may take several weeks / months before the treatment is complete. Due too the hair growth cycle it may be necessary to have additional treatments .

Can I shave as normal? 
Shaving the day before or just prior to treatment is recommended and you may shave again twenty-four hours after treatment unless you are told otherwise during your consultation. Hair shaving will be covered in the treatment if you are unable to shave yourself.

Do I need a day off work?
No. AW3 Laser has no “down time” and requires no recovery time. You can have a Pain-Free treatment and return to work, school or other normal activities immediately.
